Many things have changed over the last four years and it's time to once again take stock of our community priorities. Council is reviewing its 10-year Strategic Plan for our future and would like to invite you to share your vision.
The Community Strategic Plan sets the overarching direction for all of Council's services and programs during the next four years, and assists Council to work towards achieving the long term vision of the Community.
We're listening and together we can ensure we continue working towards a shared long-term vision for Tenterfield Shire Council.
Tenterfield Shire Councillors have adopted a new set of plans for the future direction of Council and the community for the next ten (10) years.
At an Extraordinary meeting on Wednesday, 12 April 2017, Councillors adopted the:
Council is required by legislation to have a suite of Integrated Planning & Reporting documents and following an extensive round of engagement where Councillors and staff met with community members in Tenterfield, Mingoola, Jennings, Urbenville, Liston, Legume, Drake and Torrington, followed by a public submission period of twenty eight (28) days, these important documents are now in place and can be viewed on Council’s website Tenterfield Community Plan.
Now that the overarching directions have been set, the draft four (4) year Delivery Plan and draft Operational Plan and Budget for 2017/2018 have also been considered by Council.
These documents are on public display for a twenty eight (28) day period, with submissions closing 4.00 pm on Wednesday, 10 May 2017. The documents can be viewed on Council’s website www.tenterfield.nsw.gov.au or are available in hard copy at the following locations:
Submissions on the draft four (4) year Delivery Plan and draft Operational Plan and Budget for 2017/2018 should be forwarded to The General Manager, Tenterfield Shire Council, PO Box 214, Tenterfield NSW 2372.
Mayor Peter Petty thanked Councillors and staff for the huge achievement in getting these important documents finalised. “The community can see that the directions of Council are open and transparent and I recommend that everyone takes some time to peruse the Plans and Strategies”, he said.
